With the phased completion of the planned development projects in North Lantau (e.g. Tung Chung New Town Extension), it is anticipated that the traffic congestion of North Lantau Highway (NLH) during peak hours will deteriorate from 2031 onward. To relieve the traffic pressure on NLH, the Government is taking forward an investigation study for Road P1 (Tai Ho – Sunny Bay Section).
Scope of Works
The scope of the Study mainly comprises an investigation study on the alignment, preliminary design and land requirement of Road P1 (Tai Ho – Sunny Bay Section).
Programme
Engineering Study on Road P1 (Tai Ho - Sunny Bay Section) was commenced in June 2021.
Current Progress
The investigation study and preliminary design of Road P1 (Tai Ho - Sunny Bay Section) are in progress.
